Case study

Sampay

I am building Sampay, a marketplace for ukay, pre-loved clothes where every listing is a single piece. Anyone can buy, anyone can open a shop, and an AI stylist puts together whole outfits from pieces that are actually for sale.

How it came together

  1. The challenge

Thrifters hunt for one exact piece and want to know how it works in an outfit before they commit. Sampay shows each piece's real measurements and condition, and lets small ukay sellers open a shop without setting up online payments.

  2. The approach

Mix & Match asks where you are going, picks three looks from pieces across different shops, checks each one against your measurements and can show the look on your own photo. It runs on Lakandiwa, our own AI server, with no outside AI APIs. Ordering a piece reserves it, and checkout sends one order request per shop, paid by cash on delivery or a bank or GCash deposit. Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Supabase.

  3. The result

In progress. Running as a demo on 48 sample pieces from four shops.
