Glint UI

I created Glint UI, a library of 354 animated React components: text effects, cursor effects, WebGL backgrounds, UI primitives and mascots. Every component installs with the shadcn CLI as one file you own and can edit.

Overview

How it came together.

01

The goal

Motion is what makes an interface feel alive, but good animated components are usually locked inside a package or a paid kit. Glint UI gives them away as plain source: copy one in, change anything, keep no dependency.

02

The approach

Eight categories (text animations, animations, backgrounds, components, buttons, micro interactions, UI primitives, and widgets and mascots), built with React, Tailwind CSS, Motion, GSAP and WebGL. Each one ships with a live demo and installs from its own registry entry; its mascot, Glint Bot, follows the cursor and can be booped, petted and poked.

03

The result

Live at glint-ui-seven.vercel.app, with the source on GitHub.
